THEO WALCOTT does NOT feature in Arsenal’s official 2013 calendar — fuelling speculation he is ready to quit the club.
The contract rebel has appeared on the front for the last FOUR years.But Walcott, 23, is nowhere to be seen in next year’s version after failing to commit his future to the Gunners. The England winger, whose current £65,000-a-week contract expires in June, has snubbed the North London outfit’s offer of a new £80,000-a-week deal.
That has alerted rival Premier League clubs Liverpool and Manchester City, who are believed to be willing to pay Arsenal £15million for him in next month’s transfer window.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has stated publicly he wants and expects Walcott to sign a new deal with his club.
But many believe the writing is now on the wall after the ace was left out of the calendar.
His team-mates Thomas Vermaelen, Mikel Arteta, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Olivier Giroud, Lukas Podolski, Wojciech Szczesny, Aaron Ramsey, Andre Santos, Kieran Gibbs, Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and Per Mertesacker all had their own pages.
But marketing man’s dream and crowd favourite Walcott was not the only Gunners first-teamer left out.
French full-back Bacary Sagna also does not feature after he slammed Wenger’s transfer policy earlier this season.
