Knockout! Wilshere and Podolski land blows as Arsenal qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League

Arsenal boss Wenger said: "There were two good goals. One for Wilshere after being out for so long it's great to see and the other one was fantastic for Podolski.
"Wilshere had a difficult start but got more confident. I don't worry too much about his confidence level because that is one of his strengths as well.
"He must not be too obsessed about goals. He must be a complete midfielder not just an offensive player. The goals will come naturally.
"In our last game against Tottenham after 60 minutes, Wilshere lacked a bit of petrol. But I didn't feel that tonight.
"He is not far away now from being at his best but I must still manage him and not overload him with too many games."
Wenger also revealed his pride at reaching the knock-out stages again but has set his sights on finishing above Schalke.
The Arsenal boss also praised Giroud's contribution and believes the ex-Montpellier striker has finally stepped out of Robin van Persie's shadow, the player he was bought to replace.
Wenger added: "We needed two good results, our result and the Schalke result and so I am happy tonight. We had to be patient, wait for our chances and not make a mistake.
